Class: 08                                                                                          Time: 45 mint

Objectives:

Students will be able to:

Ø  Describe the preparation of oxygen gas.(knowledge)

Ø  Explain the occurrence of oxygen gas.(knowledge)

Ø  Give the example of usage of oxygen gas in daily life.(knowledge)

Ø  Express their views by giving the example of different usage of oxygen gas in daily life.(skill)

Ø  Appreciate the role and contribution of science in understanding of natural world.(attitude)

Ø  Identify devices that are normally used to solve everyday problems.(STSE)

Orientation.

Teacher use experimentation to orient the student. Teacher use candles, glasses, and match box. Teacher burn the candles and put the glass on it meanwhile student is observing the experiment then teacher ask some question

·         What you observed when I burn the candle?

·         What happened when I put glass on burning candle?

·         What is the reason behind the blow of candle?

Elicitation of Idea:

Although experiment Teacher will discuss the idea of student related to oxygen gas and deposit more example of using of oxygen gas in our daily life.

Reconstruction Ideas:

After elicitation of different and diverse ideas, teacher would explain the occurrence and preparation of oxygen gas.

Application of Ideas:

Teacher use true and false worksheet for application of ideas.

1.       Air is a mixture of four common gasses.                                    (                     )

2.       Oxygen contain 78%oxygen in air.                                             (                     )

3.       Oxygen gas is use in breathing and preparation of medicine      (                     )

4.       There are 3 methods of preparing oxygen in laboratory.             (                     )

5.       Plants take co2and exhale O2 in photosynthesis process.             (                    )
