·        Brainstorm race.

Teacher paste the flash card named matter on board and makes 2 column. Then teacher divide the class in to two team and provide them a sticky note and give them 3 mints to think about matter and write on it and paste it on their column. The team which have more ideas or sticky note on board would win the brainstorm race.

·        Picture word description.

teacher made the picture based on land, sea, noise and air pollution and randomly distribute to the whole class then student observe the picture and try to express their ideas in front of class.

·        Nature walk.

Teacher bring all student to the school garden and tell them about the flowering and non-flowering plants then student observe the different kind of plants and their texture shape and other parts of it.

·        Brain teaser.

Teacher use different brain teaser to introduce the different topics. Like for unit an eco-teacher can use this teaser.

Many have heard it but nobody has ever seen it.it will not speak back until spoken to.

And also for chapter different gases teacher can use this teaserwhat did the scientist say when he found 2 atom of helium” the answer is HE HE.

·        Play a game.

Teacher can use the puzzle to motivate the student to introduce the lungs topic.

·        Anticipatory worksheet.

Before teaching Digestive system in Grade 7. Provide students with the diagram of digestive system and instruct students to label the organs of digestive system.

·        Everyday phenomena.

While introducing Types of water. We can initiate by providing with sample of hard and soft water and soap. In this way provide them with the idea of types of water.

·        Two truth one lie.

In chapter water ask students to write 2 truths and 1 lie about water or how they use it.

·        Kwl.

While teaching Changes in matter ask them what they know about how different material changes. What they further want to know and at the end of unit ask students to write what they learnt.

·        Gallery walk.

During teaching of chapter ecosystem while explaining adaptations in animals and plants. Organize a gallery in classroom with sample pictures/models and some infographic. Ask them for a walk. Note down points and then discuss what they learnt.

·        Present a situation or problem.

Teacher create a problem to motivate the student toward the chapter balance diet or healthy and unhealthy food. The problem is given below.

Sara have breakfast at home on time and also have lunch but from school canteen. She is going to lazy and weak day by day so what should Sara need to do?

·        Tell a joke.

For the purpose to initiate the topic “human growth”. Teacher can use this joke.

How many men were born in 1996?

The answer is no men were born only babies.

·        Brainstorming.

I choose the unit our environment. Teacher write the unit name on the board and each student come to board and raise the branch and write their idea which bring on their mind after seeing this word.

·        Index card puzzle hunt.

I choose the topic living things. Teacher break the statement in to two piece and write it on two individual papers and also write the 1 1 no on it .teacher will do the same for next more statement .the same no students meet and complete the statement and speak aloud or share with the whole class.

 

 

·        Experimentation.

I choose the boiling point topic for experimentation. Teacher bring all the students to the lab and show them water boiling boiling process. Student have to note down the initial value of when the water start to boil and the last value when water boiled up.

·        News article.

While teaching topic pollution bring some articles in class related to the topic make students read it identify the causes of pollution and then further move on to explanation.

·        Using a model.

While teaching Eye explain the structure and function of eye by using the eye model.

·        Problem solving.

Bringing a cup of water that is dirty and have some particles in it and then ask students how to make the water clean and drinkable. Then, students will give the idea of filtration.

·        Demonstration using prop solar and lunar eclipse.

While teaching day and night change demonstrate it by using props of Earth, sun and moon.

·        Advance organizer.

While teaching Metals and non-metals construct an organizer on sheet and enlist the physical and chemical properties and then explain in class.
